Shane Alexander

Shane Alexander

Shane Alexander was born in Northeast Oklahoma and spent his early childhood years on his grandfather’s ranch in Zena, Oklahoma. When Shane was nine, Tim and Mary Alexander decided it was best for Shane to move to the Oklahoma City area so he could get a great education and have more chances to shine in life.

Tim and Mary did a lot of research and finally picked a suburb of Oklahoma City, Del City, as Shane’s new home for the next nine years. In Del City, Shane really blossomed through his experiences and friendships. It was there that he discovered his passion for wrestling and soccer, and he was amazing at both! In Del City, Shane also met Loran Taylor, and they became the best of friends.

As time went on, Shane knew exactly what he wanted to be. He knew he wanted to join the Army, and there was no one or anything that was going to stop him. During summer trips up to his grandfather’s ranch, Shane would go shooting with Jesse, his grandfather. Over time, he became a really good shot. He learned how to start fires on his own and could take care of himself in the outdoors. To him, this was training, training to help him do what he wanted to do for as long as he could remember.

Over time, Loran and Shane started talking more and more about the Army, and Loran started seeing it as a way to get out of Del City and see the world, or at least what he thought was the world. When Shane and Loran graduated in May of 1994, they went to the Army recruiter together and joined under the buddy program. They both wanted to do infantry and went to Fort Benning, Georgia together. After graduating from Basic Training and One Site Unit Training, Shane and Loran got stationed at Fort Bragg, North Carolina together. After a few short years of feeling like time was crawling at a snail’s pace, Shane and Loran’s unit came down on order…
